Driver App Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 August 2026 · Applies to the ValetPro Driver application for Android
Who we are
The ValetPro Driver app is published by ValetPro (“we”, “us”). For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your personal data, contact apps.nuxtechnology@gmail.com.
This app is issued to valet staff by their employer. Your employer creates your account, decides which venue you work at, and can see the work you record through it. For most of the information described here, your employer is the party that decides how it is used, and we handle it on their behalf.
Who can use the app
The app is for valet staff only. There is no self-registration — you cannot create an account yourself, and the app is unusable without credentials issued by an employer who is a ValetPro customer. It is not intended for anyone under 18.
What the app collects, and why
Account and shift information
Your name, employee identifier, email address, role, the company and venue you are assigned to, and your shift check-in and check-out times. This is what identifies you to your employer and places you on a shift.
Vehicle and ticket records
Vehicle registration number, make, model, colour, parking location, key tag or hook, ticket number, and the times at which you took in, parked, retrieved and handed over each vehicle. This is the operational record of the vehicles in your custody.
Photographs and video
The app uses the camera to photograph vehicle number plates, to record short walk-around videos documenting a vehicle’s condition at handover, and to scan ticket barcodes and QR codes. These exist so that a dispute about damage can be settled with evidence rather than recollection.
Guest contact details
Where a guest gives a phone number so they can be notified their car is ready, that number is stored against the ticket. You may enter it on their behalf.
Device and diagnostic information
A push notification token so we can tell you a car has been requested, and basic connectivity state so the app can queue work while you are out of signal.
Permissions the app asks for
Camera — to photograph plates, record condition videos, and scan ticket codes. The app cannot perform its core function without it.
Microphone (Android permission only) — ⚠️ the app does not record audio. Condition videos are recorded with audio explicitly disabled. This permission is declared by the camera component the app is built on; no recording of sound takes place and no audio is transmitted or stored.
Biometrics and device unlock — an optional convenience for signing in. The check is performed by your phone’s operating system. Your fingerprint or face data never reaches the app, never leaves your device, and is never transmitted to us.
Notifications — to alert you when a guest requests a vehicle.
Network and Wi-Fi state — to detect when you are offline so work can be queued rather than lost.
Flashlight and vibration — to light a plate in a dark basement and to alert you to a new job.
⚠️ The app does not request location. It does not track where you are, either during or outside a shift.
Automatic number plate recognition
To save you typing a plate, the app can read one from a photograph. This works in two stages.
First, the image is analysed on your device using Google ML Kit text recognition. Nothing is sent anywhere in this step.
If the on-device result is not confident enough, the photograph is sent to our server, which forwards it to Plate Recognizer, a specialist recognition service operated outside the UAE, and receives the plate text in reply. ⚠️ This means a photograph of the vehicle leaves the country for processing. The image is used only to read the plate and to identify the make and model. We do not send your name, your employee identifier, or the guest’s details with it.
Advertising
The app displays advertising, supplied both by Google AdMob and by advertisers contracted directly with ValetPro.
⚠️ Google AdMob is an independent advertising network. It collects your device’s advertising identifier and related device information in order to select and measure ads, under Google’s own privacy terms. You can reset or delete that identifier in your Android settings under Privacy → Ads.
For advertising we serve directly, we record that an ad was shown, at which venue, and whether it was tapped. This is counted to report delivery to the advertiser. It is not linked to your name.
Who your information is shared with
Your employer — the valet company that issued your account can see the work you record, including tickets, timings, condition media and attendance.
Supabase — our hosting and database provider, which stores the data on our behalf.
Google — Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, ML Kit for on-device recognition, and AdMob for advertising.
Plate Recognizer — vehicle photographs only, and only where on-device recognition was not confident, as described above.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long information is kept
Photographs and condition videos — 48 hours, after which they are deleted automatically. They exist to settle an immediate dispute, not to build a record.
Ticket records — 90 days, then deleted automatically.
Your account — for as long as your employer maintains it. When they deactivate you, your access ends immediately.
We keep anonymous, aggregated statistics — counts and average times, with no plate, ticket number or name attached — after the underlying records are deleted.
Your rights
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data you may ask for a copy of your personal data, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to how it is used.
⚠️ Because your employer controls your work records, requests about tickets, shifts and condition media are usually best directed to them first. Write to us at apps.nuxtechnology@gmail.com and we will help, and will tell you honestly if a request has to go to your employer instead.
Security
Access is restricted so that you can only see records belonging to your own company, enforced by the database rather than by the app. Photographs and videos are held in private storage that is not publicly readable. Connections use HTTPS.
⚠️ No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users and your employer.
Changes
If we change what the app collects, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be notified in the app.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
